Cleansing Bath & Lavender Bath Salt - Issue #34
By Ifayomi Fasola • Issue #34 • View online
Good Morning!
So I’ve been thinking how it’s already been an ashy existence since the year has started, lol. Because of this, I decided to give you all a cleansing bath recipe that you can use for yourself/family.

This cleansing bath can remove negative energy off of you. If you have found yourself around a negative environment and feel in a bad mood yourself, you can take this bath to help you.
  • Coffee grounds
  • Salt
  • Efun or Cascarilla
  • Parsley
  • Basil
  • A shot of Gin (any kind is fine, but is must be ONE shot, no more, no less)
  • 1 can/bottle of coconut water
Add ingredients to a tub of water.
Immerse yourself in the water for 20 minutes.
While in the water, pray to be released of any negative influences around you or in your life.
You can say this prayer when preparing the bath:
The dew washes the human head neatly
Neatly the dew washes the handle of a cutlass
If awo’s destiny is bad he gets easily fed up
Performed Ifa for Orunmila (o-rune-me la),
father of Agboniregun (ah-bone-ire-gun)
When he wanted to go and wash away the destiny of poverty
I washed away poverty
I washed away suffering
I entered inside water
I washed away poverty
Do not stay longer than 20 minutes because it has a tendency to really draw out energy and make you feel drained. You’ll want to take this bath before bed because it does make you tired.
Next, here is a Lavender Bath Salt that does wonders for pain and relaxation.
Bath salts are a wonderful way to relax and unwind after a long day, not to mention they’re incredible for your muscles. In fact, Epsom salt is known to be high in magnesium and to be a natural anti-inflammatory. The mix of Epsom salt and lavender will give you a relaxing combo, allowing your mind to rest, your muscles to relax, and your body to detox.
  • ¾ cup Epsom salt
  • ½ cup Dead Sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender buds
  • 1 tablespoon safflower oil
  • ⅛ teaspoon vitamin E oil
  • 8 to 10 drops lavender essential oil
1. Combine all your ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
2. Place your mixture in an airtight container, preferably glass.
3. Let the mixture sit for several days so the essential oils and fresh herbs can infuse into the salts.
That’s it! Pour the salts into a hot tub while chanting the prayer above for a full restorative cleansing!
